Sunrise Academy is a public charter school within Weld County School District 6. Sunrise Academy serves over 700 students in grades K through 8th and employs more than 60 teachers, support professionals, and administrators. 

During its 2010 session, the Colorado General Assembly enacted the "Public Schools Financial Transparency Act" as part of House Bill 10.1036 Section22.44.304 of the Colorado Revised Statues which states "Commencing July 1st, 2010, and on a continuing basis thereafter, each local education provider shall post online financial information, in a downloadable format, for free public access. "The Act defines" local education providers "to include both school districts and charter schools. To meet these new requirements of this act, Sunrise Academy has posted the documents on our website for easy, free access.     In the 2010 plenary session, the Colorado General Assembly approved the "Public Schools Financial Transparency Act" as part of House Bill 10.1036 Section 22.44.304 of the Colorado Revised Statutes which proclaims that "Beginning July 1, 2010 and continuously from this date, each education provider will report financial information on the Internet, in a format that can be downloaded for free for public access. "The Act defines" local education providers "to include school districts and charter schools To comply with the requirements of the act, Academia Salida Del Sol published the documents on the website for easy and free access.
